Goodbye's are the only things we do perfectly.
They are always cherished. A friend going away for good. That one last meeting, that last smile. We remember it perfectly.
Today, while watching Pretty Little Liars, it struck me, that the only thing that we get from everything is a good goodbye. Be it someone moving out, going away, or ending their journey in this world.
Memories are a wonderful thing that we human's are blessed with. Through out the 20 years of my life, many things changed. The only thing that was constant, was change. I have bid goodbye's to many people. School friends, college friends, and yet again, the trend continues. It's not that there aren't ways to keep in touch. in this digital age, when all we do is communicate, we still are hit hard when someone leaves. There is something about being physically present, being with a person, that nothing can replace!
When a person leaves, you change, and so does that person. And you know what? It is okay! It really is. So let's stop fretting about it. Let that goodbye get a tear in your eye, let it break you a little. After all, those broken pieces make you who you are!
I guess that's how it is always meant to be. A little piece of us with everyone we meet, and still our life goes on as it always will!
